On the 7 May 2012 I graduated with a Diploma in Public Relations.
Three long hard working years I finally received that piece of paper that will
lead me to my future. When I walked up on stage I realised that this is not the
end but the beginning of the rest of my life.
I was so over whelmed by all the people that supported me
not only on the night but throughout my whole tertiary education. It has not
been easy and there have been times that I have just wanted to give up but the
one thing that I have learnt throughout this whole process is that perseverance
pays off. I am one step further to achieving what I have always wanted in life –
to be successful and to do something that I love. Something that I also realised
is that Varsity is not just about working hard and studying all the time, it is
also about making friends and building relationships with people. I have made
the most amazing friends that I know will be with me for the rest of my life
and walk with me through other battles I may face.
This has made me want to work even harder in my B-Tech
degree because it makes me one step ahead and I know when I walk onto that
stage at the end of the year to receive my degree, it will be the most
rewarding feeling knowing I can do something amazing with my life.
